Study Abroad

Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, all travel must follow current guidelines, which are detailed in the International Institute Travel Policy.

 

The first Japanese students to study at the University of Michigan arrived in Ann Arbor in 1873. Today, over 140 years later, U-M and the Center for Japanese Studies offer a wide variety of study abroad programs in Japan, ranging from 3-4 week spring/summer experiential courses led by CJS faculty to semester/year-long exchange programs.
