Courses on Japan at the University of Michigan

Although the Center for Japanese Studies itself is not a teaching unit and offers only a few courses, the University of Michigan offers numerous undergraduate and graduate courses on Japan in various departments and professional schools.  The largest number of courses are offered in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA), the university's largest school and the home to humanities and social science departments.  Japan-related courses are also offered in the professional schools, such as business, law, an public health.
