Michelle is pursuing a Masters in International and Regional Studies with a specialization in Japanese studies. During her undergraduate studies, she focused her capstone research on soft power in modern Japan. Michelle spent 2 years abroad in Kyoto, Japan, studying at Ritsumeikan University then Doshisha University. Her research interests include: soft power in Japan, modern Japanese literature, translation, localization, and linguistics.
