Each year the Rackham Graduate School encourages public recognition of both faculty and graduate students whose talented devotion to teaching and the facilitation of learning are outstanding.  Graduate School sponsors four awards:

John H. D’Arms Faculty Award for Distinguished Graduate Mentoring in the Humanities

Rackham Distinguished Graduate Mentoring Award

Rackham Master’s Mentoring Award

Professor Cristina Moreiras-Menor will be receiving the John H. D’Arms Faculty Award for Distinguished Graduate Mentoring in the Humanities during the ceremony on Thursday April 19, 2012 at 2pm in the Rackham Amphitheatre. Janet Weiss, Dean of the Rackham Graduate School and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs will recognize the mentoring talents of faculty recipients. She’ll be joined by Connie Cook, Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director of the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, in offering congratulations and words of praise for the GSIs. The keynote speaker will be Karin Martin, Professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies. Professor Martin will share her views on “The Legacy of Teaching and Mentoring.” The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the Assembly Hall on the fourth floor of the Rackham Building.
