“This past summer, I traveled with The Quito Project to Ecuador, which is an opportunity I found out about through the Weekly toPICS newsletter! We collaborate with students from a local university to deliver crucial educational and healthcare services to underprivileged communities in Quito. I was a mentor and tutor to 25 eight-year-olds during their annual summer camp. It was an incredibly enriching experience to collaborate with others to assess and implement initiatives to help improve health and education outcomes within Quito. I now serve as the Director of Community Relations & Campus Outreach where I aim to raise awareness of the importance of global health and education equity in the Ann Arbor community.”
