“This summer, I am interning for the Ohio Secretary of State in the department of External Affairs. I am excited to become more aware and involved with regulating policies and granting authority for businesses in the state of Ohio. This experience will help me build knowledge and opportunities within the state and international business world. Now entering my third year at the University of Michigan, I am planning on studying abroad in Spain this upcoming Winter semester. I hope while studying abroad I improve my Spanish skills and learn about the native culture. I also recently spoke with a large group of high school students that are members of the Global Scholars Program in my hometown city. These students are working on taking action in their local communities in an effort to make a large-scale environmental impact on the world. Giving advice and information on my past experience with the implementation of biodegradable lunch trays in my school district was an example for many students to generate ideas on ways they may be able to make a global impact for their projects. I am beyond blessed and excited to see where my past experiences will take me and for what is to come in the future.”

Future Plans: “For now, I am unsure if I will attend a graduate school or program after I complete my undergrad degree here at the University of Michigan. I hope to use my international studies and internship experiences to pursue a career in international business or political efficacy.”
