BA International Studies (International Security, Norms, and Cooperation) ‘21

Hometown: Columbus, Ohio

Affiliations: Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, The Consilium Group, Ginsberg Center, UROP, Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, Public Service Intern Program (PSIP)

“Last summer, I worked as an External Relations Intern at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), which solidified my interest in the International Studies sub-plan International Security, Norms and Cooperation. Working at this think tank, I was exposed to a variety of security and defense issues, specifically cybersecurity. This experience led me to take a cybersecurity course as a part of my International Studies major!

This semester, I am working as a Counterintelligence Digital Communications Intern for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) through the Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) program. I am helping the National Counterintelligence and Security Center create content to inform the American public about foreign threats to the November 2020 U.S. election.”

Future plans: “Working in national security, the intelligence community, and/or becoming a Foreign Service Officer!”
