Buddhism has played a critical role in shaping Korea for centuries. The influence of Buddhism can be seen in everything from thought, art, and architecture to patterns of behavior and even the natural environment. These modules are designed to help students gain a better understanding of the impact of Buddhism on Korea and the role that Korean Buddhism played in the wider sphere of interaction that encompasses China and Japan. Each module will contain a set of short suggested readings and other relevant sources such as images and video clips.
