UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN: The Department of Sociology and the Nam Center for Korean Studies invite applications for a tenure track position in Korean Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin in the fall of 2013. The position, endowed by the Korea Foundation and whose tenure home will be the Department of Sociology, will have a university year appointment and is open with regard to specialization. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated exceptional promise in sociological research and teaching on Korea. Preference will be given to candidates whose research is grounded in quantitative methodologies, although applicants of all methodological traditions will be considered.
