Seung-Ah Lee

Seung-Ah Lee is a veteran geek of pop culture, and she is passionate about analyzing popular TV dramas, films, comics, video games, and sports. She is not only a fan, but a scholar who has been teaching, researching, and translating on the topics of her interest.

Her academic focus is on the popular culture of premodern Korea: fiction, tales, shamanic practices, and the performing arts. She is a Candidate in Philosophy (ABD) in Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is currently an adjunct professor in Foreign Language and Humanities at the Los Angeles City College.

She lives in Southern California, with her husband and a copious collection of JYJ CD’s and DVD’s.
