His primary research interests are (a) sport consumer behavior, (b) service marketing and (c) sport branding and sponsorship. This line of research has been extended to a variety of segments in the sport industry, particularly several under-studied markets such as martial arts, sport e-business, and nonprofit business sector.

The presentation will be focused on (a) a brief overview of the development of Taekwondo as a global physical culture, (b) the status of Taekwondo as an Olympic sport and key issues, and (c) discussion of future opportunities and implications. The conclusion of his presentation highlights the role of Korean studies in the Taekwondo Movement.
