Islamophobia Working Group
Anti-Arab and anti-Muslim events have increased nationally since the U.S. election. The Islamophobia Working Group studies the cultural climate and strategies for creating a safe and inclusive campus environment for Arab, Muslim, and MENA students, and gathers resources for those affected by ethnic and religious intolerance.
The IWG drafted a proposal that was included in the appendix to LSA's strategic plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion and has also created a resource list for students impacted by Islamophobia. There are roughly 70 members in the group, consisting of students, faculty, and staff. Visit the IWG webpage for resources and to get involved.
