Ronit Ricci is Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University's
College of Asia-Pacific, and author of Islam Translated: Literature,
Conversion, and the Arabic Cosmopolis of South and Southeast Asia
(Chicago, 2011).  she is currently conducting research on the history
and literary culture of the Sri Lankan Malays.
