About
Melissa has a deep interest and enthusiasm for international education, international relations, and public policy. Having personally performed English-teaching assistantships and international grant-funded research, she has dedicated her career to providing resources to those seeking to apply their knowledge and abilities on an international scale. She finds great purpose in ensuring resources are available to provide a global dimension to research, language acquisition, and innovation, in an effort to secure a more collaborative and sustainable worldwide community.
As the Coordinator of Fellowships and Grants for the International Institute at the University of Michigan, Melissa oversees policy, protocols, and processes related to the management of federal grants, institutional fellowships, and center funds. Her capacity in this role is enhanced by her previous research for the Knowledge Community for Children in India program with UNICEF, her data analytics on Fulbright programs at the United States Department of State, and her global program advisory experience with the U-M Ross School of Business.
