About
Kelsey Banfield is an Undergraduate Academic Advisor at the University of Michigan's International Institute. She advises current and prospective undergraduate students pursuing a major and/or minor in International Studies; Latin American and Caribbean Studies; Middle Eastern and North African Studies; Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies; Modern European Studies; and/or Islamic Studies. She is responsible for guiding students through their undergraduate academic career, exposing them to quality experiential opportunities, and helping them learn to advocate for themselves. Her previous experience includes working for an international law firm network, teaching at the high-school level, and working in various units throughout the U-M campus. Kelsey holds a master's degree in educational leadership, a graduate certificate in academic advising, and a bachelor’s degree in social science. She has been with the International Institute since 2015.
