About
J. Henrike Florusbosch is the program coordinator for the African Heritage, African Social Research, and STEM-Africa Initiatives of the African Studies Center. A socio-cultural anthropologist who earned her PhD from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, with a graduate certificate in museum studies, her research interests center around the value of heritage in a variety of West African contexts, particularly Mali and Ghana. For the past four years, she taught in the Institute for Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Henrike is also a lecturer in the Department of Afroamerican and African Studies, and the Department of Anthopology here at U-M.
