MIRS-African Studies Student
Delany comes to the University of Michigan after completing her bachelor’s in global studies at Appalachian State University. Delany designed her focus area there, centering her studies around the theme of “globalization and development.” Her research focused on how “developing” societies, primarily those in Africa, are impacted by globalization. While studying abroad in Italy, she saw where her research and knowledge were lacking true global perspective. Due to this, she has strived to view issues from multiple perspectives, in order to find the true root of said issues. Delany hopes to move back to Italy, to pursue a career with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
