Congratulations to Kelsey Banfield, undergraduate academic advisor at the International Institute, who has been presented with an Excellence in Departmental Advising Award from the U-M College of Literaure, Science, and the Arts.
Among those who contributed letters supporting Kelsey's nomination, Quentin J. Powers, who received his BA in International Studies this year, wrote, "Kelsey possesses every trait that you could hope for in an academic adviser: she is generous with her time, patient with student requests, and extremely knowledgeable about the minutiae of the university’s academic guidelines."
We are grateful to Kelsey for the excellent advising that she offers to undergraduate students, whether they are enrolled in II undergraduate degree programs or are still exploring their options. It's clear that she makes a great impression on students and that they appreciate her guidance. This award is certainly well deserved!
