The International Institute will host a panel discussion on The International Implications of the Syrian Civil War on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 12:00 - 2pm at the Anderson Room in the Michigan Union.

Four experts on the Middle East will analyze the social and political effects of the war on Syria and its neighbors, and will examine consequences for the region and the involvement of the major powers and other countries influencing the conflict.

Discussion Panelists include:

  • Steven Heydemann (U.S. Institute of Peace)
