Experience the impactful artistry of Japanese Taiko drumming with Sazanami, a new ensemble led by Ann Arbor-based Taiko artist Mathew Jacqmin-Kramer with members from the Great Lakes Taiko performance collective ( http://michigantaiko.net/).

This event is a feature of the U-M Fall 2023 Festival of Asian Music, which offers the public new perspectives on music traditions and adaptations from Japan, Korea, China, and South and Southeast Asia.

This Japanese Taiko drumming performance is made possible with the generous support of the U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant.

Also cosponsored by the Thompson Center for Learning & Teaching, UM-Flint.

If there is anything we can do to make this event accessible to you, please contact us at [email protected]. Please be aware that advance notice is necessary as some accommodations may require more time for the university to arrange.
