The Center for Emerging Democracies at the University of Michigan offered Emerging Democracies Fellowships for Incoming Graduate Students until 2024. These fellowships were awarded to incoming graduate students at the University of Michigan whose graduate work focused on conditions under which democracies emerge and autocracies endure. Fellows participated in the various lectures and conferences of the center, and joined the Emerging Democracies Graduate Workshop.
