Allen Hicken, Ronald and Eileen Weiser Professor of Emerging Democracies, WCED director, and associate professor of political science, received two awards from the American Political Science Association:

2016 Lijphart/Przeworski/Verba Data Set Award of the Comparative Politics Section of the APSA for the V-Dem dataset. Awarded annually to a publicly-available data set in the field of comparative politics.

2016 Best Paper Award from the Southeast Asia Related Group of the APSA for a paper presented at the 2015 APSA meeting.
