We are very pleased to announce that Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Malinkin has joined the WCEE staff as the Academic Program Specialist for the Center for Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies and Copernicus Program in Polish Studies. Liz is a graduate of Carleton College, and received her M.A. in REES from the University of Michigan in 2006. She comes to us from the Kennan Institute of the Wilson Center, in Washington, D.C., where she was on the staff for nearly ten years. At Kennan she managed the Institute's scholar program; organized public events; developed and implemented grants from the State Department, Carnegie Corporation, and the National Science Foundation; oversaw the production of many Kennan Institute publications; and authored several articles on migration issues in Eurasia. She's fluent in Russian and has basic proficiency in Polish and Ukrainian and can be reached at malinkin@umich.edu. Welcome back to Ann Arbor, Liz!
