Fatma Müge Göçek, CREES faculty associate and professor of sociology and women's studies, received the 2015 Mary Douglas Prize for Best Book for Denial of Violence: Ottoman Past, Turkish Present, and Collective Violence against the Armenians, 1789-2009 (Oxford University Press, 2014). The prize is awarded annually by the Sociology of Culture section of the American Sociological Association.
