Amina Tawasil recently received her Ph.D. in anthropology and education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Currently, she is an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Middle East and North African Studies at Northwestern University (2013–15), with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Anthropology. Her research interests include labor migration, refugee studies, and human/sex trafficking.

The MENAS 493 Colloquium Series is open to the public, 12:00 - 1:30 PM. Those not enrolled in the course are welcome to attend all lectures.
