Two PhD students at the University of Michigan School of Public Health who are affiliated with the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia are authors on a recent article in the European Journal of Public Health. Michelle Falkenbach, a Center for European Studies Graduate Student Associate, is a doctoral student in health management and policy. Kasia Klasa received the 2020-21 Copernicus Dissertation Fellowship from the Copernicus Center for Polish Studies and is a doctoral student in health services, organization and policy. Along with co-authors Ellen Kuhlmann (Medical School Hannover), Emmanuele Pavolini (University of Maccerata), and Marius-Ionut Ungureanu (Babe-Bolyai University), they published the article "Migrant Carers in Europe in Times of COVID-19: A Call to Action for European Health Workforce Governance and a Public Health Approach."
