The Armenian community in the Metro Detroit area has a longstanding relationship with the University of Michigan, which is home to the largest Center for Armenian Studies in North America. Built on the foundation of a curriculum offered by two endowed Manoogian Chairs we serve a sizable undergraduate and graduate student body. Since 2011 our faculty combined has taught 3411 a diverse group of graduate and undergraduate students in their classes.

But there is always room for growth! We are soliciting your help to establish a Graduate Student Fellowship Fund that will offer graduate student tuition, benefits, and summer research funding to incoming and current graduate students of our program. While the Center for Armenian Studies at the University of Michigan has trained a new generation of excellent scholars, the costs for higher education are on the rise and it is becoming increasingly more difficult to assure that our students receive the necessary support while focusing on their studies. That our graduates are among the best in the field is undeniable when we look at our placement record.

Your gift is not only critical to help us attract and retain the most outstanding graduate students from both the U.S. and overseas. But your financial support also is an investment in the next generation of scholars in Armenian studies and public servants in the diaspora as well as in Armenia. Thank you for your confidence in our efforts to provide the best training in Armenian studies.
