Congratulations to Michael Pifer, 2014-15 Manoogian Post-doctoral Fellow and graduate of the Department of Comparative Literature, who won the ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award for 2014. This prize is awarded to individuals who, in the opinion of the award committee, have completed dissertations representing original work that makes an unusually significant contribution to the discipline. Michael's dissertation is titled, "The Stranger's Voice: Integrated Literary Cultures in Anatolia and the Premodern World."
