Daniel Tahmizian is a visual storyteller that calls Toronto (Tkaronto), Canada home. In the nearly 15 years in the film and TV industry he’s worked across many genres and mediums but focuses mainly on documentary, comedy, and music. Daniel’s short films have played around the world including his short “Being Andy Serkis” which won the 2018 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Short Film. As a director of photography and camera operator his work has been broadcast on stations like Vice TV, CBC, Fashion Television, and Much Music.

“The Wanderer” is a modern silent short film that follows our title character as he emerges from a lone tree into a vast rural landscape. A man out of time and space the Wanderer moves through a world completely foreign to him encountering different forms of consciousness. Told in the style of multiple parables that speak to the nature of time and presence, the film is inspired by the writings of William Blake and Taoist literature. Ultimately, “The Wanderer” is a simple story about living in the moment.
