Center for Japanese Studies Funding

The Center for Japanese Studies provides conference travel funding and summer and academic year fellowships on a competitive basis to University of Michigan graduate and professional students whose studies focus on Japan. Applicants must be admitted by a UM graduate degree program to be considered for Center funding. Prospective students should submit a funding application at the same time as their admission application. Fellowship awards vary in size and range from several hundred dollars to full tuition and stipend, depending on the applicant's merit and fund availability.
