U.S. Department of State CIES U.S. Fulbright Scholar Program
Description: The Council for the International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), on behalf of the U.S. State Department, administers this program, which makes available fellowships to over 800 U.S. faculty annually in roughly 140 countries. These faculty Fulbrights are for a very broad range of scholars or professionals who wish to lecture or to conduct research abroad.
Eligibility Criteria: Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, normally must have postdoctoral academic lecturing experience if they wish to lecture or a doctorate or professional qualifications if they want to do research abroad.
Deadline: The application deadline varies, but for most awards is usually the first week of August.
