Tuition Costs

University of Michigan Registrar's Office

Follow the link to the Registrar's web site for detailed tuition information.

U-M students who register for a course will be assessed tuition and fees based on the school in which they are currently enrolled, their level of enrollment, and their residency classification.  Registration sets the billing process in motion.  Students should monitor their student account to view tuition charges and refer to the Registrar's web site for payment and drop/add deadline information.

Non-UM (guest) students who are admitted for the Spring or Summer term, will be admitted as NCFD (non-candidate for degree) students.  They must register on the first day of the term.  Registration sets the billing process in motion.  Students should monitor their U-M student account to view tuition charges and refer to the Registrar's web site for payment and drop/add deadline information.  NCFD students will be charged the same tuition as upper division students in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, at either the resident or non-resident rate, depending on their residency classification status.
