International Studies Orientation and Q&A Session

Thinking About Declaring an International Studies Major or Minor?

Students considering a major or minor in International Studies are strongly encouraged to attend an Orientation and Q&A Session. The Program academic advisors will discuss:

• Prerequisites
• Major and minor requirements
• Sub-plans
• How to declare
• Additional majors and minors offered at the International Institute
• Study abroad, grants, and internships
• Relevance of an International Studies major or minor

9/14/16 Wednesday, noon-1 PM, Advisor: Sofia Carlsson
10/19/16 Wednesday, 4:15-5:15 PM, Advisor: Folaké Graves
12/13/16 Tuesday 4:15-5:15 PM, Advisor: Folaké Graves

All sessions are held in Room 1644 at the International Institute, 1080 South University (SSWB).

A half-hour presentation will be followed by questions and discussion. Students can declare the International Studies major or minor at the orientation session. For more information, e-mail is-advising@umich.edu.
