Study in Japan

Global Michigan Portal

The Global Michigan Portal is the centralized website for all things global at the University of Michigan.  This site contains information and links to university policy related to international travel, study abroad programs, working abroad, funding for international travel and research, international events on campus, and international travel safety tips.  Information on countries and areas under travel warning and information for graduate students, staff and faculty to obtain approval to travel to these restricted areas are also available on this site.

University policy requires all faculty, staff, and students who are traveling internationally for university business and/or educational purposes to register their travel on the university's Travel Registry and obtain international travel health insurance coverage.  The university also strongly encourages faculty, staff, and students to register their personal international travel.  The university's international travel health insurance is available for personal travel.  More information and links to the Travel Registry and international travel health insurance purchase are located on the Global Michigan Portal.
