Undergraduate majors and minors related to Japanese Studies and Japanese language, as well as the Japanese Language Program, are administered in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. The Center for Japanese Studies offers the interdisciplinary Master of Arts degree in Japanese Studies as well as joint/dual degrees in Japanese Studies and Business (MA/MBA) and Japanese Studies and Law (MA/JD). Although the Center does not offer a doctoral degree program, it supports many doctoral students in various disciplines intellectually and financially. Please see the PhD Programs section for more information.
