The Center for Japanese Studies (CJS) Main Office is located on the fourth floor of the School of Social Work Building (SSWB) on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. The SSWB is located on the corner of South University and East University Avenues. Regular office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Center for Japanese Studies Publications Program is located at 1007 East Huron in Ann Arbor. Regular office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. CJS's Publications Program's phone number is: 734.647.8885. The fax number is: 734.647.8886.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO MAIN OFFICE

To reach the SSWB from:

I-94 West:

Take I 94 West to exit number 177, State Street. Exit here and then turn right onto State Street. Follow State Street until you reach UM Central Campus, then turn right onto South University. Continue straight until you reach East University. SSWB is on the right hand side.

I-94 East:

Merge onto I-94 BR, exit 172 towards Ann Arbor. Make a left at the fork in the ramp, then continue straight onto Jackson Road. Jackson Road will become Jackson Avenue. Next make a slight left onto West Huron Street and then a right onto S. Main Street. Continue until you reach Packard Street, and make a slight left onto Packard Street. Next, make a left onto E. Madison Street, then a left onto State Street. Once on State Street, you will make a right onto S. University. Continue straight until you reach E. University. SSWB will be on your right hand side.

US-12 from Saline:

West Michigan Avenue becomes US-12. Continue straight on US-12 until you reach State Road, then make a left onto State Road. State Road will then become State Street. Continue straight on State Street and then make a right onto S. University. Continue straight until you reach E. University. SSWB will be on your right hand side.

US-23 North:

From US-23N, take exit 37B for I-94/US-23 BR. Continue straight until you reach Washtenaw Avenue. Merge onto Washtenaw Avenue. Follow Washtenaw Avenue until you reach S. University, then make a slight left onto S. University. Continue straight until you reach E. University. SSWB will be on your left hand side.

US-23 South:

From US-23S, exit onto M-14W, exit number 45 towards downtown Ann Arbor. Merge onto M-14 W/US-23 BR S. Then exit at number 3 for US-23 BR. Merge onto N. Main Street. Continue straight on N. Main until you reach Packard, then make a left onto Packard Street, and another left onto S. State Street. From S. State, continue until you reach S. University and then make a right onto S. University. Continue straight until you reach E. University. SSWB will be on your right hand side.

M-14 West:

From M-14 W take exit number 3 for US-23 BR. Merge onto N Main St. Continue straight on N. Main until you reach Packard, then make a left onto Packard Street, and another left onto S. State Street. From S. State, continue until you reach S. University and then make a right onto S. University. Continue straight until you reach E. University. SSWB will be on your right hand side.
