Center for European Studies (CES) serves as a hub for the University's extensive resources and expertise in the interdisciplinary study of modern Europe and the European Union. CES is housed together with the U-M's prestigious Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, and Weiser Center for Emerging Democracies.

We offer resources for students, teachers, business and community. Our Multimedia web page contains audio and video files from 2004-12 "Conversations on Europe" lecture series featuring prominent speakers such as Sir Peter Stothard, Aleksander Kwasniewski, Joschka Fischer, Neal Ascherson, Ian Buruma, Donatella della Porta, Leoluca Orlando, Cem Ă–zdemir, Desmond Dinan, and Diego Marani. Conversations on Europe at U-M album is available at itunes.umich.edu. You can listen or view our lectures on your iPhone or iPad! You can also view lectures at our YouTube channel and Facebook page. The Michigan Paper Series is a web based publication. The series promotes interdisciplinary and comparative research on Europe and complex developments of European integration.
