CCS Student Funding Opportunities

The Center for Chinese Studies awards a number of fellowships and grants to currently enrolled undergraduates, graduate and professional school students in Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan. The application deadline for all the following fellowships is February 1st, unless otherwise noted. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make certain that all materials are received at the Center by this date. The fellowship decisions are generally announced each year by the end of March.

Students who are applying for admission to the MA Program  in China Studies or any of the MA dual degrees programs should complete the CCS Funding application to be considered for academic year funding. These applicants only need to complete the application and language report. Other documentation will already have been submitted with the Rackham application.

Students who are applying for admission to a Ph.D. program in Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan must be nominated by their department in order to be considered for funding. They should not apply to the China Center directly.

Please use the CCS Graduate Student Funding Application to apply for the following funding opportunities:

The 2009 CCS Language Evaluation Form is now available (also included in funding application above).
